NATHAN Lovett-Murray doesn't expect to face scrutiny by the Match Review Panel for a tackle that led to West Coast's Matt Priddis being concussed.
The Essendon utility tackled Priddis strongly in the first quarter of Essendon's win on Saturday night, holding Priddis before falling to the ground.
The Eagles midfielder appeared to hit his head on the Etihad Stadium turf under Lovett-Murray's weight, but continued to play on before being subbed out of the game in the second quarter.
Lovett-Murray said he was surprised Priddis left the field.
"I thought it was a fair tackle, I just took him to the ground," Lovett-Murray said on Monday.
"I was a bit surprised [Priddis was hurt]. I didn't realise he went off. After the tackle he kept playing and I assumed he was OK."
If given the all clear Lovett-Murray will face Richmond on Saturday night in the annual Dreamtime at the 'G game and said it was an honour to be involved.
"They had a good win on the weekend and they're playing some good football," he said.
"It's always a big game and I've always been proud to play in it. What the AFL's done for indigenous people in terms of promoting the game has been really good."
