TWO of Bryce Gibbs’ former teammates will team up to try and lure the star Carlton free agent home to South Australia.
Eddie Betts said he would speak to Gibbs and encourage him to make the move to West Lakes.
Betts told reporters on Tuesday that fellow Blue-turned-Crow Sam Jacobs had already spoken to Gibbs and that the small forward would do the same.

"[I] might have to give him (Gibbs) a call and see if he wants to come back to his home state," Betts said.
"Big 'Sauce' (Sam) Jacobs is getting in his ear as well, which is good.
"I'll give him a call and say ‘you're welcome here any time.’"
Betts has certainly settled in well to his new surroundings, since leaving the Blues via free agency.
His leadership on and off the field has been praised by teammates and coaches alike, and his first competitive showing for the Crows yielded five goals.
But the veteran forward said he hadn't paid much attention to his first-up haul, claiming he would prefer goal assists to goals any day of the week.
"I don't really read anything into it. It's only the NAB [Challenge]," he said.
"I didn't want to come out and set the world on fire, because I'm all about tackling and putting pressure on and doing all the little things and then the goals will come.
"If I keep doing that I'm pretty sure we'll kick some goals.
"I'm all about sharing it around here. At Carlton I loved to share the ball around and kick goals so if a guy's in a better position, I'll give it to him."
After missing Adelaide's 38-point win over his former side last week, Betts will line up for his second pre-season game against Greater Western Sydney on Friday.
He said he had been pushed hard in his first summer with the Crows, but as a result he was in the best shape of his career.
"Adelaide are known for their running and I didn't think it was going to be this hard, but it's been a really hard pre-season," he said.
"I got a lot of kilometres in the legs and I'm fitter than I've ever been."
