THE WESTERN Bulldogs are confident ruckman Ben Hudson will be fit to face Hawthorn in the second qualifying final this Friday night.

The 29-year-old was a late withdrawal from the Bulldogs' loss to Adelaide on the weekend with a hamstring strain.

"We're confident at this stage. He's probably 60-40 at this stage," coach Rodney Eade said on Monday.

"We're fairly confident he'll be able to play. Saturday would have been a great game for him because those conditions would have suited him, but first use of the ball in the centre is paramount in most games.

"It's more evident in finals games, so fingers crossed."

He also said the Dogs had gotten through the wet game at AAMI Stadium unscathed and would enter their first final with almost a full list of players to choose from.

"Everyone is fine. We haven't got any fresh injuries, and if Ben's right, he'll be one and there might be another change," he said.

"We'll have to wait and see, but at least there will only be probably three of our best 22 unavailable at this stage."
