Tough defender Nick Lower has been included in the Power’s 25-man squad to face the Crows on Sunday, for what could be his first game in more than a year.

Lower last played for the Power in Round 22 of 2006, when the Power was playing one of its youngest groups. Despite some strong showings at Norwood last year, Lower could only manage regular spots as a Power emergency.

The Power’s first pick of the 2005 draft has again started the year in good form, playing well for the Power through pre-season and was one of Norwood’s best against Sturt last Friday night, spending plenty of time in the centre square.

Tom Logan, who was dropped last week for Troy Chaplin, is also a chance to come back in, along with key position player Damon White who was the Power’s travelling emergency last week.

The Power names its final 22 on Friday evening, although as is AFL rules, the three emergencies are required to come from the seven players named on the bench in the below squad of 25.

The Power’s 25-man squad is as follows…

B: Michael Pettigrew, Alipate Carlile, Jacob Surjan
HB: Peter Burgoyne, Toby Thurstans, Dom Cassisi
C: Travis Boak, Chad Cornes, Kane Cornes
HF: David Rodan, Justin Westhoff, Danyle Pearce
F: Daniel Motlop, Warren Tredrea, Brett Ebert
Foll: Brendon Lade, Steven Salopek, Shaun Burgoyne
Interchange from: Paul Stewart, Dean Brogan, Damon White, Troy Chaplin, Nick Lower, Matt Thomas, Tom Logan
