VICTORIA Park could host Collingwood's AFLW games next season as the Magpies plan for their women's team to play home games at two venues in 2018.

Collingwood's AFLW team played its first two home games at Ikon Park rather than the Holden Centre because of the size of the crowds that turned up to watch the Magpies play Carlton and Melbourne. 

They are expected to play home games against Greater Western Sydney and Adelaide at the Holden Centre next month.

However Collingwood president Eddie McGuire told members at the club's AGM on Monday night that while nothing had been confirmed as yet there were plans in place to ensure the Magpies' spiritual home became the venue for women's games.

"It's fair to say we are walking towards playing here [Holden Centre] and at Victoria Park for our women's games and the VFL," McGuire said. 

The split between the two venues for the women's team would be similar to the arrangement in place for Collingwood's VFL team, which also plays home games at the two venues.

The Magpies jumped off the bottom of the AFLW ladder after defeating the Western Bulldogs on Saturday night to record their first win in the competition.
