COLLINGWOOD veteran Alan Didak has quashed reports he is set to retire at the end of the 2013 season.
Didak has played just two senior games this season – round 10 against the Brisbane Lions and round 11 against Melbourne – and has spent the majority of the year in the VFL.
However, the premiership Pie took to Twitter on Sunday to clear up the mounting speculation.
"Reports that I've retired are incorrect. Still have passion 2 play and can assure you I'm very keen to continue my AFL career beyond this yr (year)," Didak tweeted.
Didak had a slow start to the year and he was forced to manage a niggling calf concern midway through this season.
But he has discovered some consistency and strong form in the VFL in the past month.
The 30-year-old has featured regularly in the Magpies' VFL side's best players and was best afield with 26 touches in last week's meeting with Williamstown.
Didak, along with a number of other Pies including Andrew Krakouer and Paul Seedsman, will be looking to play their way into Nathan Buckley's finals team when Collingwood does battle with North Ballarat in the VFL on Sunday afternoon.
