PORT Adelaide defender Tom Jonas will learn his fate on Tuesday evening after being sent straight to the Tribunal for his crude hit on West Coast midfielder Andrew Gaff.

The Match Review Panel, which laid 20 charges on Monday afternoon including several fines, graded the late forearm strike to the back of Gaff's head as intentional conduct with severe impact.

Any charge with severe impact is sent direct to the Tribunal, which will sit at 5pm AEST on Tuesday.

Earlier this season, Gold Coast defender Steven May earned a five-match suspension for a late bump on Stefan Martin, which was graded severe impact and careless conduct. 

May's ban included a one-match increase, however, for his poor record, with Jonas benefiting from a clean record in the past two seasons.

In better news for the Power, Robbie Gray was cleared for tripping West Coast forward Mark LeCras, with the MRP deeming there was insufficient force to constitute a report.  

Gray would have missed one match and been ruled ineligible for the Brownlow Medal if the MRP had found him guilty, given his bad record of two low-level offences already this season. 

Meanwhile, Western Bulldogs midfielder Lin Jong has accepted a two-match ban for a front-on bump on Greater Western Sydney defender Matt Buntine.   

Jong was trying to win the ball but turned his body at the last second when Buntine won possession, with his hit graded as careless conduct with high impact to the head.

Buntine appeared to be concussed and took no further part in the game.

Fremantle defender Zac Dawson has been cleared for a late spoil on Richmond's Steven Morris.

The MRP said there had been insufficient high contact to constitute a report, with Dawson making contact to Morris's upper arm with an open palm.

Sydney Swans ruckman Callum Sinclair has accepted a $1000 fine for an off-the-ball hit on Hawthorn star Sam Mitchell.

A separate incident involving Mitchell, who had appeared to strike Swan Dan Hannebery, was dismissed because the open hand push "was not a striking motion and was not a reportable offence".  

Carlton midfielder Bryce Gibbs has also been charged with striking North Melbourne veteran Brent Harvey and accepted a $1000 fine.

The AFL coffers have swollen by $22,000, with fines also handed out for melees involving Port Adelaide, West Coast, St Kilda and Essendon.

West Coast's Luke Shuey, Elliott Yeo, Will Schofield, Liam Duggan and Jamie Cripps were fined a total of $4,500, while Port's Hamish Hartlett accepted a $2,500 fine for his third melee involvement.

Travis Boak and Liam Duggan were fined $1,500 each for wrestling each other.

St Kilda's Jimmy Webster, Leigh Montagna, Sam Gilbert, Luke Dunstan and David Armitage were fined a combined $5,000 for a melee that also involved Essendon's Mark Baguley and Mason Redman, who were fined $1,000 each.  

Melbourne's Nathan Jones accepted a $2,500 fine for his third wrestling offence, while Brisbane Lions defender Daniel Merrett accepted a $1,000 fine for his first wrestling charge.
