FAST FOOTY FACTS
The Brisbane Lions are one of only three teams to have never won a pre-season competition together with the West Coast Eagles and Fremantle Dockers. However, the Club has experienced two pre-season premierships with Fitzroy in 1959 and 1978.

The Lions have twice made it through to the Grand Final of the pre-season competition since the 1997 merger - in 2001 against Port Adelaide and in 2007 against Carlton.

Lions Vice-Captain Luke Power has played more matches in the pre-season competition than any other current Lions player with 28 while Daniel Bradshaw ranks second with 23 pre-season games.

Bradshaw has also kicked more goals during the pre-season competition than any other current Lions player with 29. Lions Captain Jonathan Brown is next best with 17 goals from ten matches.

The Lions will face Essendon during the pre-season competition for the third time in just four years. The Bombers eliminated the Lions from last year's AFL NAB Cup with a 27-point victory at Gold Coast Stadium in Round One.
