THE FUTURE of off-contract Western Bulldogs midfielder Koby Stevens is up in the air as he considers finding a third AFL club.
The 25-year-old has played 63 games in four seasons with the Bulldogs after spending his first three years and 11 games with West Coast.
Stevens' manager, Ned Guy from McDonald Sports, told NAB AFL Trade Radio on Thursday discussions would continue with the Bulldogs this week.
"We'll sit down with them to work out where things sit in the next couple of days and whether or not he re-commits there or looks elsewhere," Guy said.
"There has been interest in Koby, and a fair bit.
"We haven't progressed it any further other than we appreciate the interest and wanted him to get through the season."
Stevens played only 12 games for the premiers this season and didn't feature in the finals.
"Koby had a really good start to the season and unfortunately he had an adductor strain halfway through the year and he missed a good chunk of footy," Guy said.
"He forced his way back into the side for the round 23 clash in Perth, then there was some doubts if his conditioning was up to AFL level, which probably hurt at the time.
"Speaking to Koby, he probably felt he only regained that by the VFL grand final.
"He realised why he didn't force his way back into the team prior to that."
The Bombers are one club that is actively looking to bolster their midfield.
"I've spoken to Adrian (Essendon list manager Adrian Dodoro) throughout the year and Koby's name has popped up," Guy said.
"Adrian had interest in Koby in the year he was drafted.
"A lot of those recruiters follow through in those players they followed really closely.
"We haven't taken it too far with any of the clubs."
