Help create a ‘Lions’ atmosphere in Victoria on Saturday 13 August 2011 by joining your fellow Melbourne-based fans at a public screening of QClash2 when the Lions come up against their younger brothers - the Gold Coast Suns.

It promises to be a huge grudge match - particularly considering the Suns took the points in the historic first QClash at the Gabba.

After a positive response at the Victorian viewing back in Round 14, the event will once again be held at The Oxford Scholar Hotel located at 427 Swanston Street in Melbourne’s CBD (opposite RMIT).

The hotel is owned and run by long-time member Malcolm Wulf, and is equipped with bar and dining facilities (dinner can be ordered between 5pm - 9pm), a huge projector screen TV, TAB area and a pool table. A number of unique Lions memorabilia items also adorn the Lions-friendly bar area.

The Oxford Scholar Hotel is only a short walk from Melbourne Central train station and is also easily accessible via the Swanston Street tram.

The match itself - which is being broadcast LIVE on Fox Sports from 7pm (Victorian time) - will be shown for Lions fans on the big screen.

You can check the venue out for visiting www.theoxfordscholar.com.au or call them directly on 03 9663 1619 for more information.

There will also be a range of other FREE Lions activities on the night (during the breaks in the game of course) including the popular Lions trivia competition where one lucky fan will go home with a guernsey signed by a Lions player.

There will also be a FREE first goal competition with plenty of prizes up for grabs.
Staff from the Victorian office will be on hand to help coordinate the activities, so please make yourself known to them upon arrival so they can distinguish between the Lions fans and general patrons. The Club also encourages you to deck yourself out in Lions colours (a scarf at bare minimum) and cheer the boys on as they look to right the wrongs of their early season encounter with the Suns.

The future of these events relies on getting a good collection of Lions fans along, so please bring your friends and spread the word.

We hope to see you there! Go Lions!
