BRISBANE has cut five players from its list, led by experienced trio Tom Bell, Rohan Bewick and Claye Beams.
The Lions have also delisted utility Marco Paparone and rookie-listed midfielder Jake Barrett.
None of the five played regular senior footy in 2018, but the cull means some age and games experience leaves the club.
Bell, 27, played just the opening round against St Kilda before being dropped and finishes with 21 games in three seasons for the Lions.
He returned north to his home town after four years and 51 games with Carlton.
High-flying Bewick has played 103 games in total but just three in 2018, while Beams finishes with 54 games in an injury-plagued eight-season career.
The younger brother of former skipper Dayne, Claye was delisted at the end of 2017 but given a lifeline as a rookie this year.
Injuries also curtailed Paparone's time at the Lions, with back and hamstring problems restricting the 24-year-old to just 10 senior games in the past three years.
He played 55 games in total after being taken at No.23 in the 2012 NAB AFL Draft.
Barrett could consider himself slightly unlucky after playing 23 games in two seasons as a rookie.
The hard-working midfielder was shoehorned into a small forward's role for most of his games, kicking 19 goals, but was squeezed out as the Lions try to free up some space on their list.
Free agent Ryan Lester and hard-at-it midfielder Mitch Robinson are among the players still to be signed for 2019.
