FREMANTLE forward Michael Walters and Carlton defender ZachTuohy can both accept reprimands after the Match Review Panel's assessment oflast week's practice matches.
There is good news for Essendon, with key forward JakeCarlisle's match-day charge of misconduct for kneeing Richmond's Steve Morriswithdrawn.
Walters was charged with a level one rough conduct count and assessed with a one-match ban for contact with West Coast's Brant Colledge during the lastquarter of their clash at Patersons Stadium last Thursday.
An early plea allows him to escape with a reprimand and93.75 points towards his future record.
Tuohy was charged with a level two striking offence againstBulldog Stewart Crameri in the first quarter of their Visy Park match onFriday. This drew 125 demerit points and a one-match suspension, but an earlyplea cut the penalty to a reprimand and 93.75 points towards his future record.
After speaking to the umpire who laid the match-day reportagainst Carlisle, viewing all available footage and receiving a medical reportfrom Richmond, it was the view of the panel that the force used was below thatrequired to constitute a report. No further action was taken.
Contact between Hawthorn’s Jordan Lewis and Melbourne’sNathan Jones from the first quarter of Saturday’s practice match was assessed.The panel said the ball was bounced in the centre with Lewis and Jones approachingfrom opposite directions.
Lewis punched the ball with his left arm and then made highcontact with Jones. It was the view of the panel that Lewis was contesting theball and the high contact was accidental after he had made contact with theball. No further action was taken.
