THE SHORTEST player at this year's NAB AFL Draft Combine produced a mighty effort to register the equal-best result in the gruelling beep test on Wednesday.
South Australian draft prospect Caleb Daniel, who stands at 167cm, ran to level 16.1 at Etihad Stadium in front of recruiters and club officials.
He shared the top honour of this year's shuttle run with New South Wales midfielder Jack Hiscox, who also ran 16.1. The duo joined Bradley Hill as equal second best in all time for the combine, behind last year's record holder Billy Hartung (level 16.6).
Talented half-forward Tom Lamb again highlighted his athletic capabilities with a level 15.5 run, while Ed Langdon (15.3), Jarrod Garlett (15.2) and Melbourne father-son prospect Billy Stretch (15,1) was another to impress.
Possible No.1 pick Christian Petracca set a new personal benchmark with his 14.12 run, highlighting his improved endurance across the 2014 season.

Nakia Cockatoo continued his excellent week by winning the kicking test, and Nathan Drummond was among five players to top the points for the clean hands test.
Having been overlooked last year, Drummond's combine so far has highlighted his speed and skill. He has placed in the top-10 for the running vertical jump, standing vertical jump, repeat sprint, 20-metre sprint, clean hands, kicking, beep test and goalkicking tests.
South Australian pair Dean Gore and Keenan Ramsey led the goalkicking by posting perfect scores, kicking five goals from five shots.
