The Accounts Officer will report to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and will work closely with the Management Accountant as well as providing back up to the other Accounts Officer.
In this varied role the Accounts Officer responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Processing of all payables invoices;
- Performing creditor payment runs;
- Coding and reconciling all club corporate credit cards as well as all air travel expenditure;
- Completing various month end reconciliations;
- Updating the fixed asset register;
- Managing the administration and reconciliation of player payroll deductions.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A strong personal brand which personifies the GC SUNS values;
- A minimum of 3 years accounting experience within a medium sized organisation;
- Demonstrated a high level of attention to detail and accuracy in processing a high volume of invoices;
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with internal and external stakeholders in a respectful and timely manner;
- The ability to multi – task and manage projects with tight deadlines;
- The ability to work as part of a team as well as on your own;
- The ability to be flexible and adaptable in a growing and changing work environment;
- Experience in completing bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
