RICHMOND has two first-round picks to look forward to in November's NAB AFL Draft, after winning its first premiership in 37 years at the MCG on Saturday.

The draft bonanza is as a result of the Tigers scoring Greater Western Sydney's first and third-round selections last year in exchange for former star and 2004 No.1 pick Brett Deledio.

That deal now looks a bargain for Richmond, with Deledio unable to replicate his Punt Rd form in his first year at the Giants after persistent calf problems held him back.

Damien Hardwick's side – already the envy of the competition – will have the 15th and 17th picks, the latter being the last of the first round due to its flag-hoisting heroics.

The Tigers are almost certain to use one of those to secure father-son prospect Patrick Naish, son of retired 161-game forward Chris Naish.

Minor premier Adelaide's draft hand could change dramatically in the player exchange period, but the Crows are currently slated to start the draft with 16 and 34 as their plum choices.

Jake Lever and Charlie Cameron, key pieces in Adelaide's ability to make the Grand Final, are strongly linked to rival clubs, while Carlton's Bryce Gibbs is expected to again request to join the Crows.

Beaten preliminary finalists Geelong and Greater Western Sydney both enter the draft in the second round.

The Cats' first pick is currently No.20, while the Giants have essentially been stripped of their first-round selection due to the penalties from the Lachie Whitfield affair last year.

The Giants were penalised 1000 'draft value points' for their part in the saga, which means their first pick (currently No.15 and worth 1112 points) will now be worth 112 points.

That would see the pick slide to the back end of the draft and fall at No.63, which is worth 112 points under the points index.
