Day 2

Sunday 6 December
Deniki to Alola Village , 12km

The group had an early start to allow them enough time to cover the 12kms required for the day.

As the players hiked through the early hours of the morning they passed landmarks of the Track that would give them their first real taste of what it was like for the young soldiers. One landmark was the Isurava Memorial, which is a famous battlefield. Along the way, the trek leaders and porters described the battles and hardships the soldiers had to endure.

After a long day, the group made it to Alola Village - the camp site for the night at 5pm.
