EMERGING midfielder Ryan Lester has signed a two-year AFL contract extension with the Brisbane Lions.
The 21-year-old is the third young Lion to recommit to the club this month, following Rohan Bewick and Nicholas Robertson.
"To have Ryan, Nick and Rohan agree to new terms this month is fantastic news, these players are the future of our club," the Lions' general manager, football operations, Dean Warren said in a statement on Tuesday.
After making his debut in round one, 2011, Lester played his 50th match for the Lions in Saturday’s win over the Suns.
Recruited from Oakeligh Chargers, Lester was drafted by the Lions with pick No.28 overall in the 2010 NAB AFL Draft.
