PULL up the socks, lace up the shoes, and get the footies ready, as the Macca’s Kick 2 Kick program returns for the 2024 Toyota AFL Premiership Season, with the opportunity for fans to take to the hallowed turf at some of the game’s biggest stadiums.

Following a successful national return at Opening Round, the AFL is pleased to confirm the much-loved program will continue across Australia this season, with the Macca’s Kick 2 Kick schedule for the next 13 rounds locked in.

At select stadiums this season, including the Gabba, Marvel Stadium, MCG, People First Stadium, Adelaide Oval, SCG and ENGIE Stadium, fans can enjoy the treasured post-match ritual of kicking a football on-field, thanks to the partnership between the AFL andMcDonald’s which was first established in 2014.

A truly national program, in every state this season fans will have the chance to take to the field post-match for Macca’s Kick 2 Kick, including in the Northern Territory at TIO Stadium and TIO Traeger Park, plus in a win for fans in the west – the AFL and Fremantle Football Club are providing the opportunity for fans at Fremantle's Optus Stadium matches to pre-register and participate in the beloved post-match tradition.

AFL Executive General Manager Customer and Commercial, Kylie Rogers said the Macca’s Kick 2 Kick program provided a unique chance for more fans than ever to connect with our game.

“Macca’s Kick 2 Kick initiative has provided more than eight million fans with the opportunity to play on elite AFL fields since 2018, and we’re thrilled to welcome back the Macca’s Kick 2 Kick program again this season,” Ms Rogers said.

“In 2024, the much loved tradition will provide fans with the chance to experience our game on the hallowed turf at venues across the country after their heroes, a truly national offering for fans to have a kick to kick with friends and family.

“We thank McDonald's for its ongoing support of the program and look forward to seeing fans across the country participate in the Macca’s Kick 2 Kick initiative throughout the 2024 season.”

McDonald’s Australia Director of Marketing, Amanda Nakad, said:

“For more than 50 years, McDonald’s has been committed to giving back and supporting the communities we operate in.

"One of the ways we do this is through our long-standing partnership with the AFL, which helps connect footy fans with the game they love and create feel good experiences for thousands of Aussies every year.

“We are so excited for the Macca’s Kick 2 Kick program to return again this year and can’t wait to see Aussies enjoy the iconic experience with family, friends and other footy fans throughout the season.”
