Enright amassed 28 possessions, took 11 marks and kicked a late goal that saw the entire Cats side run to him.
The defender is regarded highly at Geelong not just for his consistency, but for the person he is around the club.
When reflecting on the win, Scott was quick to make it known just where he believes Enright should sit in the list of AFL greats.
"He's probably the best small defender of our era," Scott said on Saturday night.
"That's not just my opinion, that's the opinion of people who have been around football for a very long time.
"I think you've got the idea. I rate him."
Enright's set shot goal from an angle had the team celebrating, and the cameras caught Scott grinning as he watched on.
"It does mean a lot. I had a big smile on my face because I was so happy for him. The players love him.
"It is important that on big occasions for those individuals the rest of the team lifts. I think when Corey kicked that goal you saw the esteem in which he's held by his teammates."
As for the celebration?
"Those defenders, they love kicking goals … it's a bit over the top isn't it."
Teammate Trent West echoed Scott's sentiments.
"How good was that? He's a great kick for goal and when he gets the ball in his hands, he does good things with it," West said.
Enright shared his milestone match with Steve Johnson, who marked his 200th game with 30 disposals and two goals.
One of his majors was executed with a trademark snap in the third quarter.
"You know when he gets the ball inside 50 somewhere, he's going to try something. He's always got a few tricks up his sleeve," West said.
Johnson's play in the middle impressed the coach as much as his work around the goals.
"I thought when we were a bit average inside the contest, Johnson was the one keeping us in it. I loved his game tonight."
