There was also concern over Aaron Edwards, with the former North Melbourne forward spotted on crutches post-match after hurting his shin.

Bombers small forward Alwyn Davey also pressed his case for a return to the senior side, applying terrific pressure (seven tackles) and capitalising with two goals.
Nathan Lovett-Murray also booted two majors in the 109-point rout.
Experienced Collingwood trio Quinten Lynch, Andrew Krakouer and Alan Didak bounced back to form, despite a narrow eight-point loss to the Casey Scorpions.
Krakouer (28 disposals), Didak (27) and Lynch (27) all impressed in different ways against the Scorpions. Krakouer, in particular, was pivotal in the Pies' late comeback that fell just short.
Melbourne forward Jesse Hogan continued his phenomenal debut season in the VFL, collecting 25 touches, 12 marks and nailing another three goals for the Scorpions
His form is tantalising for Demons fans, although, of course, he is ineligible to play senior football this season.
Demons teammates James Strauss (27 touches), Josh Tynan (25) and James Magner (25) were also important in the Scorpions' win.
North Ballarat emerged 17-point winners against Werribee in the battle of the North Melbourne affiliates.
Liam Anthony (30 disposals) and Ben Jacobs (23) led the way for the Roosters, while Majak Daw kicked two majors for Werribee, but both he and Daniel Currie were soundly beaten by young North ruckman Ben Mabon who had 41 hit-outs.
Young Hawks Sam Grimley and Jed Anderson both did their best to catch the eye of the Hawthorn coaching staff with dominant displays for Box Hill.
Grimley, in particular, was the major match-winner for the Hawks with four goals and a bunch of marks.

Adelaide-listed forward Lewis Johnston kicked seven goals for North Adelaide in its 105-point win over South Adelaide at Prospect Oval on Sunday, boosting his chances of a senior recall in the wake of injuries to Josh Jenkins and Shaun McKernan on Saturday night.
Meanwhile, a murder of Crows ran rampant on Saturday, headed by Matthew Jaensch, Sam Kerridge and Jared Petrenko.
Jaensch collected 32 disposals in a best on ground display Sturt, while Kerridge's 26 touches were critical for the Double Blues.
Petrenko was the best for Woodville West-Torrens, despite his team falling to Sturt, with 28 possessions and nine clearances.
Port Adelaide forward Tom Logan (24 touches) and former Gold Coast youngster Hayden Jolly (29) were among Glenelg's best despite a loss to the Port Adelaide Magpies.

Gold Coast veteran Nathan Bock moved ever closer to an AFL recall, kicking three majors in his side's thrilling one-point comeback win over the UWS Giants.
Bock's forward line prowess could be a handy addition to the Suns' side.
Giants youngsters Matthew Buntine and Jono O'Rourke were listed in the best for their side.
The Brisbane Lions and the Sydney Swans had the bye.

West Coast veteran Adam Selwood had 26 disposals in East Perth's 30-point loss to West Perth at Arena Joondalup on Saturday in slippery conditions.
Fremantle forward Josh Mellington was in the best for West Perth with 16 disposals.
Also on Saturday, East Fremantle made light work of South Fremantle with an 83-point win at Fremantle Oval, with West Coast's Brad Sheppard collecting 30 disposals and taking eight marks for the Sharks.
Brad Dick kicked two goals for the Sharks while Fremantle rookie Hayden Schloithe had 23 disposals.
In Swan Districts' 11-point win over Peel Thunder at Steel Blue Oval, Fremantle's Viv Michie started well for 12 first-quarter disposals, which set him up for a game-high 32.
Jesse Crichton had 26 disposals for Peel and Hayden Crozier 22 with two goals.
For the Swans, Jamie Bennell had 14 touches.
