SYDNEY Swans spearhead Kurt Tippett has been pulled out of Friday night's clash with Hawthorn with what the club says is hamstring tightness.
Tippett, who has kicked 33 goals from 10 games this year, was a late change to the selected side, and has been replaced by Mitch Morton.
Injured Swan Dan Hannebery, who is also missing Friday night's match with bone bruising in his knee and is Tippett's housemate, said the key forward should be fine for round one of the finals.
"His hammy was a bit tight, so no risks," Hannebery said on Melbourne radio station 3AW.
"He should be fine for next week."
Hannebery also had positive news about two other injured Swans, Lewis Jetta and Adam Goodes.
Jetta (shin) is playing for the reserves on Saturday, his first game back since round 10, while Goodes (knee) hasn't featured since round 13.
"I think Jetta could potentially be a sub next week and maybe ‘Goodesy’ could come back the week after that," Hannebery said.
"So they would be the two. There's a bit of juggling to do for the coaching staff."
Hannebery is also expected to miss just one week.
Morton, playing his first senior game since round 13, will be the Swans' substitute.
Against St Kilda two weeks ago, Tippett was subbed out due to hamstring tightness. He played last week against Geelong, kicking one goal.
The Hawks have also made one late change, with Max Bailey replaced in the selected side by Matthew Spangher with what the club described as general soreness.
Debutant Shane Biggs starts on the bench for the Swans, along with Luke Parker and the recalled Harry Cunningham.
For the Hawks, Jed Anderson starts as their sub with Bradley Hill, Shane Savage and Taylor Duryea their interchange players.
A Hawthorn victory guarantees the club the minor premiership for the second consecutive season, and ensures a rematch with the Swans in a qualifying final in Melbourne next week.
