RICHMOND has confirmed it will not punish Dustin Martin after he was caught driving an unregistered vehicle potentially unlicensed.

The Tigers told AFL.com.au they had spoken with Martin about his latest indiscretion, but have decided not to take further action against the star midfielder.

Martin was pulled over by police on Monday in Melbourne's Stonnington area, driving a Jeep which is believed to have come via a private arrangement.

Jeep is Richmond's major sponsor.

It is understood Martin may have been unaware if he had reached his demerit point limit.

The controversial midfielder trained strongly at Punt Road on Thursday in the lead up to Saturday's clash with the Western Bulldogs at Etihad Stadium.

Martin was cleared by the Match Review Panel for an off-the-ball incident arising out of the Tigers' hard-fought 12-point win over Carlton last Friday night.

The 22-year-old collected a career-high 35 disposals against the Western Bulldogs in round three last season.
