ANTHONY Morabito's comeback to senior football could be further delayed after the Fremantle midfielder elected to challenge a possible suspension arising from last weekend's WAFL clash.
Morabito was reported for rough conduct on Claremont's Tom Ledger during Peel Thunder's 28-point loss to the Tigers on Saturday afternoon.
The game was the 23-year-old's fifth at WAFL level since he resumed playing after his third knee reconstruction in three years.
Fremantle had three listed players reported in the same game. Along with Morabito's charge, ruckman Jack Hannath and rookie Tom Vandeleur were both charged with striking.
Hannath accepted a reprimand and is free to play this weekend but Vandeleur and Morabito will face the WAFL Tribunal on Tuesday night after Peel Thunder elected to challenge their suspensions.
If found guilty the pair would join a long list of Fremantle players that have been suspended at AFL or WAFL level this season.
Nat Fyfe, Zac Dawson, and Hayden Ballantyne have all been suspended at AFL level while Colin Sylvia was suspended for two weeks in the WAFL.
Both Ballantyne and Sylvia are available to play this weekend after serving their bans and both would be keen to impress after receive stern public rebukes from their coach Ross Lyon.
