A News Ltd report on Tuesday states Cameron and his management have put contract talks on hold and rejected offers of a new long-term deal, something the club has flatly refuted.
Currently contracted until the end of 2015, AFL.com.au understands the Giants are at ease with the situation surrounding the 21-year-old and intend to hold talks with him about his future at season's end.
Mohr signs for two more years
Cameron was one of the first players signed by the Giants and has fully embraced the club, stating he now considers Sydney home.
During his time at GWS, the key forward has blossomed from a raw, promising prospect to an All Australian, and he would obviously be highly sought after if he did decide to test the open market.
But Cameron told the GWS website on Tuesday he has no intention of leaving the fledgling club.
"I'm loving my time up here at the Giants," he said.
"I really enjoy the boys, the coaching staff and everyone that's involved with the club.
"It's something that we're growing and I've seen grow over the last three years and I'm really enjoying it."
Following a promising start to the season, the Giants have been on the end of 111 and 113-point hammerings against West Coast and Richmond respectively over the past two rounds.
Unsurprisingly, that has quickly led to rumours of unrest and unhappiness with some on the playing list, with a vast percentage of the club's bevy of young talent coming off contract the same time as Cameron.
But Cameron says he plans to have a long career in western Sydney.
“Yeah, yeah I really hope so," he said.
“I guess the growth that I’ve seen over the last three years since the start, a lot of us boys have been here since the start, that’s what we’ve kind of kept our eye on and we’re steadily going up.
“The last few weeks have been a little bit disappointing, but we want to turn that around as quick as we can and we’re working towards that.”
