Port Adelaide’s Robbie Gray had the ball in the forward line and was being tackled by his opponent Jones. Gray changed direction in a bid to break the Melbourne player’s tackle. As Gray altered his direction, Jones spun out of the tackle and collided with Stewart, who was stationary and bracing for contact. It was the view of the panel that Stewart’s contact with Jones was caused by circumstances outside the control of the Port Adelaide player and no further action was taken.
Contact between Melbourne’s Bernie Vince and Port Adelaide’s Kane Cornes from the second quarter of Sunday’s match was assessed. It was the view of the panel the force used was below that required to constitute a reportable offence. No further action was taken.
