FREMANTLE has recalled star ruckman Aaron Sandilands for Thursday night's round 19 opener against Carlton at Patersons Stadium.
Sandilands was rested from the Dockers' game against St Kilda on the opening weekend of round 18, and the big man was sorely missed as Ross Lyon's men slumped to a shock loss.
Freo has also regained Hayden Ballantyne from suspension and Stephen Hill from a quad injury.
Hill has been sidelined since suffering the injury in the lead-up to the Dockers' clash with Melbourne in round 16.
"We get some of our top-line players back, and on our last performance, we need them," Lyon said on 3AW on Wednesday evening.
Garrick Ibbotson also comes into Fremantle's line-up, with Colin Sylvia, Jonathon Griffin, Anthony Morabito and Matt Taberner all dropped.
Speaking about Sylvia, who has had a disappointing first season in the west, Lyon said: "He needs to go back (to the WAFL) and deliver actions that will build trust within the match committee that will select him and, more importantly, his teammates.
"He's played a certain way for a long time and he needs to shift, because we're not bending to Col. Col will bend to us. He knows that and he understands that."
Carlton has brought in Andrew Carrazzo, Brock McLean and Blaine Johnson.
The Blues have lost Andrejs Everitt to a knee injury, Mitch Robinson to suspension and Troy Menzel to a knee problem.
