WELL OUT of finals contention, Carlton has little more to play for on Friday than pride. The Blues nearly toppled powerhouse Geelong last weekend, but the pain of missed opportunity could be eased by claiming the scalp of Port Adelaide on the road. The Power are fighting to keep their top-four hopes alive and need these four points to keep the pressure on fourth-placed Fremantle. The club felt it returned to form in Gold Coast's rain last weekend and coach Ken Hinkley will demand a similar effort on the national stage.

4. Carlton travels to Adelaide Oval for the first time, but its recent history in Adelaide is good, winning five of its past six games at AAMI Stadium.
