GREATER Western Sydney will stick with co-captains once again this season, with the club confirming on Wednesday that Callan Ward and Phil Davis will again share the leadership.
They have been co-captains since the club entered the AFL in 2012.
Tom Scully and Heath Shaw have been reappointed as vice-captains, while Shane Mumford, the 2014 club best and fairest, remains in the leadership group.
Stephen Gilham, a member of last year's group, has retired.
"To go into our fourth year with a virtually unchanged leadership group speaks volumes about the stability and maturity of the club and is a tremendous endorsement of our leaders," Giants coach Leon Cameron said.
"Callan and Phil have developed into outstanding young leaders on and off the field and are ably supported by Tom, Heath and Shane.
Ward's reputation has been enhanced in his time and he has emerged as one of the premier midfielders in the competition, while the leadership of Davis continues to be lauded despite considerable absences from the team.
He missed three months after a serious kidney injury in the season-opening win over the Swans last year, but returned to play 10 of the last 11 games.
GWS opens its NAB Challenge campaign on March 7 against Gold Coast at Blacktown and its home and away season away to St Kilda at Etihad Stadium on April 5.
