CHAMPION Hawthorn full-back Chris Langford has delayed his retirement from the AFL Commission at the request of chairman Mike Fitzpatrick.
Following a number of changes to the Commission in the past 12 months – including the upcoming departure of Linda Dessau – Fitzpatrick asked Langford to stay on through the 2015 season.
Dessau will stand down from the Commission at the annual general meeting on March 25 after being appointed the next Governor of Victoria.
Chris Lynch, former AFL CEO Andrew Demetriou and Bill Kelty have also stood down.
Major General Simone Wilkie and Jason Ball will formally join the AFL Commission at the annual general meeting.
