It drew a two-week sanction under the table of penalties, but Lynch's early plea means the 22-year-old will only miss one game. It cannot be served in the pre-season competition.
St Kilda ruckman Billy Longer was charged with striking Essendon's stand-in captain Paul Chapman in the third quarter of Saturday's game at Morwell.
The MRP viewed the incident as careless conduct with low impact to the head, grading it as a $1500 sanction under the newly introduced guidelines.
On Tuesday the AFL announced Longer had accepted his $1000 fine with an early plea.
But the news was better for North Melbourne recruit Jarrad Waite, who had his report for high contact thrown out.
Waite was reported by the field umpire for his aggressive high spoil on Hawk Ben Stratton in Sunday's NAB Challenge game, but the MRP found the 32-year-old's contact was not forceful enough to constitute a reportable offence.
