RODNEY Eade says there are no double standards at Gold Coast after player-driven alcohol rules claimed a fourth victim on Thursday.
Danny Stanley joined dumped trio Harley Bennell, Trent McKenzie and Brandon Matera as being unavailable for selection against Adelaide on Saturday, after it emerged he also broke a team rule of not drinking six days prior to a game.
They will all play in the Suns' NEAFL team instead.
However, Eade said ruckman Tom Nicholls and forward Charlie Dixon had escaped punishment and would play against the Crows despite the pair also consuming alcohol on Sunday.
They both had a drink with their families over dinner, which the players agreed in a pre-season set of guidelines was fine.
"In their guidelines, they spoke about having dinner with family - can they have a drink with family - and the players have said that's OK,” Eade said.
"When Nicholls and Dixon put their hand up, the leadership group said ‘that's fine’.”
Following Saturday night's breakthrough victory over the Brisbane Lions, Eade asked his players to stay away from alcohol that night in order to better prepare for Adelaide.
Breaking the no-drinking policy came on Sunday for the quartet – six days prior to the next game – which is a season-long policy.

Stanley's unavailability for selection further depletes a Suns team that will also miss Steven May (suspended), Jack Martin (ankle), Seb Tape (knee) and Jarrod Garlett (ankle) from the outfit that defeated the Lions.

Despite having just 29 fit players to choose from, Eade said there was no room for compromise on team rules.
"We're trying to build the correct culture," he said.
"Probably historically, players are telling me that people (at the club) maybe run their own race a little bit at times.
"If we're going to be successful, the players have got to own the team, drive each other, challenge each other, set standards."
