ADELAIDE has secured Rory Sloane for the next three years, leaving Patrick Dangerfield as the last of the club's 'big three' yet to put pen to paper. 

Sloane's new deal ties him to West Lakes until at least the end of 2018 and he joins skipper Taylor Walker in re-committing to the club.

He was set to attract enormous interest from rival clubs at the end of the year; St Kilda's had been public knowledge since mid May.

Sloane was crowned Adelaide's club champion in 2013 and has played 107 games since being selected with pick No.44 at the 2008 NAB AFL Draft.

The 25-year-old flagged his desire to remain at the club months ago and said he was "thrilled" to finally finish contract negotiations.

"I have said many times before how much I respect and love this club and, in particular, the playing group," Sloane said.

"With the support of my fiancée Belinda and family, I have been in constant talks with the club and am thrilled to sign a new deal. 

"Our club is built on a team-first attitude and elite standards and it allows us all to thrive and improve, and there is no doubt success lies ahead."

Crows coach Phil Walsh said Sloane was exactly the type of player he wanted to mentor.

Last year's acting co-captain is a professional on and off the field – perfectly symbolising Walsh's desire for "elite standards".

"Rory epitomises the type of person we want at the Adelaide Football Club," Walsh said. 

"He lives by elite standards and inspires others to do the same and you can always count on him to get the job done on game day."
