HAWTHORN has given assistant coach Brett Ratten indefinite leave from the club as he deals with the tragic death of his son Cooper.
The 16-year-old was killed in a car crash early on Sunday morning.
Hawks forward Cyril Rioli said players and coaches were united in their grief for Ratten, who has been told to take as long as he needs to grieve.
In Ratten's absence, Hawthorn's development academy head Damian Caroll will fill in as stoppages coach.
