1. No May-be about this huge hit
Suns big man Steven May has a nervous weekend wait on whether he's cited for a late bump that sent Lions ruckman Stefan Martin off in a neck brace on the motorised stretcher late in the second term. May, who copped a three-game ban for rough conduct on Tom Rockliff in the previous QClash, appeared to run past the loose ball to flatten Martin. Nearly every player was involved in a heated push and shove as medical officers attended to the prone Martin near the centre of the ground.

2. Surely, they know where the Gabba goals are!
The Lions’ inaccuracy continued unabated, particularly in a wasteful first half, and nearly cost them the breakthrough win. Even the normally deadly Pearce Hanley was among the wayward set shots that again dogged the Lions, including a woeful 1.9 in the second term. Can't question the endeavour, but hard to find excuses for experienced campaigners like Josh Walker, Allen Christensen and Daniel Rich.

3. Lynch and a bagful of goals the perfect fit again
A key forward who not only grabs contested marks, but converts the set shots. Young Suns sharpshooter Tom Lynch is the envy of Richmond and Collingwood fans right now. Lynch's five goals kept Gold Coast in the contest and his athleticism underlined the potential of a player who won't tick over 100 games until late in the season.
4. Robbo rolls another
Patrick Dangerfield and Joel Selwood last round and this time relentless running Suns skipper Gary Ablett. Yes, hardnut Lion Mitch Robinson will sleep soundly tonight after another massive on-ball assignment. While Ablett's 24 possessions was adequate, the little master didn't have his normal telling influence on the result. And Robinson gathered 18 himself.

5. Clear as a Bell? No, it isn't
Lion Tom Bell was sure he had a crucial goal after a mark on the edge of the goalsquare in the second quarter. He immediately swung around for a simple snapshot, but the field umpire made him repeat the shot after signaling time-off just before the kick. To Bell's dismay, the umpire set the mark on a 45 degree angle and the agitated Lion missed the shot from close range.
