COLLINGWOOD defender Tyson Goldsack will miss at least four weeks with a fractured thumb.
Goldsack sustained the Bennett's fracture in the lead-up to Monday's Anzac Day match against Essendon and had surgery during the week.
Collingwood football director Neil Balme said his recovery would take a minimum of a month.
"Unfortunately we were expecting Tyson Goldsack to play last week but he hurt himself at training, I think on the Saturday," Balme said on the club's website.
"He fractured his thumb.
"It was fairly clean. He's had surgery on it. They put a plate in and he's certainly medium term.
"We're hoping he might be able to come back within four weeks but he may be longer than that.
"It's disappointing for him and for us, but he'll put up with it."
Goldsack, 28, has played just one game this season.
