JAEGER O'Meara has taken another step forward in his comeback from a serious knee injury, completing three quarters of a NEAFL match on Saturday.
O'Meara finished with 15 disposals and kicked a second quarter goal against the Brisbane Lions in the QClash curtain-raiser at Metricon Stadium.
It was the classy midfielder's second match back after rupturing his patella tendon last April.
The former Rising Star winner played half a game against Southport last week and will progress to a full match against the Sydney Swans reserves at Blacktown next weekend.
He could then be available for senior selection the following week depending on his fitness.
O'Meara showed touches of class against the Lions, including the 35m right foot snap for goal that finished off a sequence in which he had three touches.
The 22-year-old played predominantly off a wing and showed no hesitation when confronted with a contest.
