- Kangaroos lose Jarrad Waite for critical clash with Collingwood
- Swans swap Ted for Xavier Richards and lose co-captain to injury
- Eagles drop three for clash with Demons as Eric Mackenzie returns
RICHMOND youngster Nathan Drummond will play his second AFL game against Hawthorn on Sunday more than a year after he ruptured his ACL on debut.
Drummond suffered a season-ending knee injury in round four last year less than a half into his AFL career.
Reece Conca also returns for the Tigers, with the omitted Connor Menadue and Brett Deledio (calf) making way.
Hawthorn has made just one change with Tim O'Brien returning in place of Angus Litherland, who has been omitted.
Port Adelaide has lost power forward Charlie Dixon (ankle) for a make-or-break contest at Adelaide Oval against Greater Western Sydney, with John Butcher coming in for his first game of the season.
Brad Ebert and Jared Polec also return in place of Jake Neade (illness) and Karl Amon (omitted).
The Giants have made one change with running defender Nathan Wilson returning in place of Jack Steele (hand) for Sunday's contest.
Essendon has included veteran Adam Cooney alongside prized No.6 draft pick Aaron Francis for the wooden-spoon battle with the Brisbane Lions at Etihad Stadium.
Francis will make his much-anticipated debut. James Gwilt (knee) is out for the season, while Craig Bird has been rested.
Veteran backman Daniel Merrett, Josh Walker, Liam Dawson have been included in the Lions' side.
They replace Dan McStay (leg) and omitted duo Ryan Lester and Jarrad Jansen.
Meanwhile, North Melbourne's bid to turn its crumbling season around has been dealt a major blow with star forward Jarrad Waite forced out of Friday's crunch match against Collingwood by his ongoing hip issue.
The Roos, whose grip on eighth spot slipped with their fifth loss in a row to Port Adelaide, have called up Majak Daw to replace Waite, while midfielder Trent Dumont comes in to take Corey Wagner's (omitted) spot.
Collingwood has been boosted by the return of leading goalkicker Alex Fasolo for the Etihad Stadium encounter alongside defender Marley Williams, with Brent Macaffer and Jordan De Goey both axed after the loss to Adelaide.
Meanwhile, the Sydney Swans have turned to youth as they attempt to bounce back from a tough loss to Hawthorn, axing premiership defender Ted Richards and veteran midfielder Ben McGlynn for the meeting with Carlton at the SCG.
The Swans have also lost co-captain Jarrad McVeigh (groin) and Zak Jones (ankle) to injury.
Young star Isaac Heeney is back along with Xavier Richards, Harry Cunningham and debutant Jordan Foote, another Swans academy product.
The Blues welcome back spearhead Levi Casboult from suspension, while speedster Blaine Boekhorst returns for his first game since round three following hamstring and wrist issues.
Former first-round draft pick Kristian Jaksch goes straight out of the side after his first game this season against West Coast, along with Jed Lamb.
The Western Bulldogs have made only one change to their winning side, bringing in gun midfielder Tom Liberatore from a back injury for forward Jake Stringer (shoulder) for a crunch match against St Kilda at Etihad Stadium.
The Saints are also sticking with a successful team as they seek to extend an unlikely finals charge, with Shane Savage coming back from concussion and replacing Darren Minchington (omitted).
Geelong has recalled Jimmy Bartel for his 299th game in a must-win encounter at Simonds Stadium against the rampant Adelaide Crows on Saturday night.
Bartel was rested for the trip to face Fremantle last round and Jed Bews is back in favour for his first appearance since round nine, with the small defender a chance to line-up on Eddie Betts.
In-form Cats defender Lachie Henderson (concussion) and Jordan Murdoch (omitted) go out of the side.
The Crows added gun backman Rory Laird and Luke Brown, dropping David Mackay and Paul Seedsman for the visit to the Cattery.
West Coast's 2014 club champion full-back Eric Mackenzie has forced his way into the team to face Melbourne on Saturday.
Mackenzie replaced a sore Will Schofield, while Jonathan Giles will play his second game for the club after coach Adam Simpson ended the experiment with makeshift ruckman Mitch Brown (omitted).
Young midfielder Liam Duggan and Jackson Nelson also come in, with hard nuts Patrick McGinnity and Mark Hutchings both axed.
The Demons have added four players, including veteran forward Chris Dawes.
Sam Frost, Alex Neal-Bullen and Billy Stretch are the other additions, with Aaron vandenBerg (hip) out and Jack Grimes, Ben Kennedy and Mitchell White omitted.
Gold Coast has brought back former Eagles midfielder Matt Rosa and handed a debut to West Australian product Josh Schoenfeld for Saturday afternoon's match against Fremantle at Metricon Stadium.
The Suns have lost prolific onballer Aaron Hall (hamstring) and ex-Hawk Mitch Hallahan has been dropped.
The Dockers will unveil mature-age recruit Shane Yarran, while Zac Clarke and Ed Langdon also come in to replace big names Matthew Pavlich (rested), Hayden Ballantyne (facial fracture) and Michael Barlow (shoulder).
