BRISBANE Lions midfielder Claye Beams will miss the rest of the season after undergoing surgery to correct a knee injury on Tuesday.
Beams tore his medial-meniscus when playing in the NEAFL at the weekend and will join his brother Dayne, who is also recovering from knee surgery, on the sidelines.

"He had surgery on that today and had that repaired, but that will be the end of his year," Lions head of physiotherapy Shane Lemcke told the club's website.
Beams, 24, has played nine senior games this season, the last of those coming against West Coast in round 13.
Meanwhile, second-year defender Josh McGuinness is also likely to be sidelined for the rest of the season with a hamstring injury that Lemcke said was worse than first thought.
Defender Dan McStay underwent successful surgery on a broken ankle last week and is now aiming to return for the start of pre-season training after a period in a moon boot.
Luckless youngster Josh Watts had minor surgery on his hip yesterday to fix ongoing groin issues, which have kept him to five NEAFL games this season.
"'Wattsy' has had some minor hip surgery done, and hopefully that will sort him out and he'll be ready to go next year," Lemcke said.
The Lions are hopeful of regaining forward Lewis Taylor (ankle) and defender Hugh Beasley (knee) this week.
