FREMANTLE goalsneak Hayden Ballantyne is set for another stint on the sidelines after damaging his surgically repaired hamstring in his WAFL comeback on Saturday.
Ballantyne booted two goals from 13 touches in his return for Peel after undergoing hamstring tendon surgery in March.
The 29-year-old was benched during the third quarter and didn't return, and the Dockers have revealed Ballantyne sustained another setback.
"Hayden returned to WAFL on the weekend after having suffered quite a significant hamstring injury that required surgery," high performance manager Jason Weber told the club's website.
"During the game he suffered another injury at the opposite end of the same muscle.
"It's quite a minor injury, but on the back of the surgery at the other end it's probably going to take us three games, or thereabouts, to get that one right."
Ballantyne, who is out of contract at the end of the season, is unlikely to make an AFL return until at least round 14.
The Dockers face Adelaide, Collingwood and the Brisbane Lions before having their bye, and then take on Geelong at Simonds Stadium.
Meanwhile, injury-plagued Harley Bennell is back on the training track as he builds towards a long-awaited return from another calf setback.
"He did some running drills today and a bit of football with the WAFL group that trained this morning, so he's progressing along nicely," Weber said.
Bennell is aiming for a WAFL return within the next 4-5 weeks.
