CARLTON forward Levi Casboult has delayed signing a new contract until the end of the season as he lets his football "speak for itself".
The big-marking forward is enjoying a career-best season, kicking 18.9 from 12 games after signing a one-year deal last year.
Casboult's manager Anthony McConville said the 27-year-old was comfortable waiting until the end of the season before signing a new contract.
"He's clearly having the best year of his career and enjoying playing an important role in a young playing group,” McConville told News Corporation.
"He's really not concerned about his future at this point, because he wants his footy to speak for itself.
"Like every other year Levi has been out of contract, we will look to sort all of that out upon the completion of the season."
Casboult has turned around his wayward goalkicking with the help of specialist coach Saverio Rocca, improving his tally from 18.18 in 20 games last year to 18.9 in 12 matches this year.
The Blues' opponent on Sunday, Richmond, is in the market for a key forward after Brisbane Lions youngster Josh Schache re-signed earlier this month.
Casboult is an unrestricted free agent, meaning Carlton would not have the opportunity to match a rival offer for their player if he wanted to leave at the end of this season.
