SPECULATION on the future of out-of-contract Adelaide star Jake Lever has intensified after he pulled out of a pre-existing media commitment for the rest of the season.
Former Adelaide skipper Mark Bickley and foundation Crow Stephen Rowe announced on their afternoon sports show on radio station FIVEaa on Monday that Lever wouldn't be appearing so he could concentrate on the finals.
Lever had a fortnightly paid spot on the show this year, appearing on alternate weeks with Crows teammate Josh Jenkins.
Why are clubs so keen to lure Jake Lever?
It was claimed the decision for Lever to step down from his commitments came from his management.
Lever, 21, has reportedly attracted interest from several Victorian clubs including Melbourne, Collingwood and the Western Bulldogs.
AFL.com.au exclusively revealed on Monday that the Dogs have been told Lever is not interested in joining the defending premiers.
Two weeks ago, Lever used his spot on FIVEaa to deny a Fairfax report he had personally met with officials from the Demons.
