FRESH off booting a career-high six goals, Port Adelaide forward Sam Gray has penned a two-year contract extension with the Power.

The 25-year-old has capped a breakout season by putting pen to paper on a new deal that will see him stay at Alberton until the end of 2019.

Gray has played every game this year for the Power, kicking 26 goals and averaging 17.9 possessions per game.

He is coming off a six-goal haul in the Power's 115-point thumping of Gold Coast at Adelaide Oval last Saturday night.

Gray played for Port Adelaide in the SANFL before being selected by the Power with the 29th pick in the 2014 NAB AFL Rookie Draft.

He has gone on to play 56 games for the Power, moving from the midfield this year to become a key contributor as a small forward.

As revealed by AFL.com.au last week, the club also confirmed that defender Jasper Pittard signed a three-year extension to remain at the club until 2020.

The 26-year-old free agent turned down interest from Victorian clubs to remain at the Power.

Pittard has played 114 games for the Power since being selected with the 16^th overall pick in the 2009 draft.

"Having been named in the 2016 All Australian squad of 40 players, Jasper has shown he has the capability to be a significant player at AFL level," the Power's general manager of football Chris Davies said.

"He’s had to battle injury this season but we know when he’s up and about he is an invaluable part of the group.

"We’re really pleased he has made the decision to stay for the next three seasons.

"Sam has played an extremely demanding and selfless role for the team and has done it exceptionally well this year.

"He has brought great pressure and intensity and, as we saw on the weekend, can also make an impact on the scoreboard."
