RICHMOND has delisted veteran defender Steven Morris, key forward Todd Elton and backman Taylor Hunt in its first round of list changes.
The club has also elevated premiership forward Jason Castagna to its senior list as well as ruckman Ivan Soldo, who has completed three seasons on the club's rookie list.
Morris, who started his career at Richmond in 2011 and played 87 games, will remain with the club as part of its VFL team in 2018.
"On behalf of everyone at Richmond, I would like to thank Todd and Taylor for their contribution to the club," list manager Dan Richardson said.
"We are delighted Steve will return for the VFL Tigers in 2018 and also thank him for his service as an AFL player.
"We wish them and their families all the very best for the future."
Hunt played 105 senior games across nine seasons with Geelong and Richmond, crossing to Punt Road Oval at the end of the 2014 season.
He added just two games in 2018, opening the season against Carlton and earning a recall against St Kilda in round 16.
Elton played 11 games with Richmond in six seasons as a project tall, including six in 2017 as the Tigers searched for a second tall forward and back-up ruckman early in the season.
Castagna earns promotion to the senior list after a breakout season as a pressure forward, playing every game and forming a crucial partnership with small forwards Dan Butler and Daniel Rioli.
Soldo effectively replaces cousin Ivan Maric on the senior list, with the 21-year-old ruckman seen as ready to perform at AFL level after a long period of development on the rookie list.
The Tigers announced that Maric would remain at the club in a player development position and as ruck coach.
Mabior Chol, Callum Moore and Tyson Stengle have been retained on the club's rookie list.
