FROM hero to villain in a matter of minutes.
After kicking a brilliant goal, his first in Port Adelaide colours, veteran forward Lindsay Thomas could face an enforced break after a hit on Geelong midfielder Scott Selwood.
Thomas was placed on report for making high contact with Selwood. The Geelong midfielder was concussed and unable to finish Saturday night's encounter at Adelaide Oval.

Match review officer Michael Christian is likely to take a hardline stance with the bump, that occurred off the ball, given the precedent set in other cases this season.
Adelaide's Richard Douglas copped a one-game ban for his high bump on Essendon's Zach Merrett in round one. The Crow's bump was assessed as careless conduct with medium impact to the head.

It was Thomas' first game for the Power since the 30-year-old joined the club as a rookie at the end of last year after 205 games and 325 goals for North Melbourne.
Thomas could also face scrutiny for a bump on Cat Jack Henry, although the Geelong defender was able to finish the game.

Speaking about Thomas' hit on Selwood, Port Adelaide coach Ken Hinkley said it was an unfortunate incident.
"Clearly, it was a pretty ferocious collision," Hinkley said.
"No player goes out there deliberately to try and cause things to go wrong, but in a contact sport, they do happen that way.
"From our point of view, Lindsay was trying to do the right thing.
"Hopefully, Scott is OK.
"That's really important and the rest of the stuff will take care of itself."

Cats coach Chris Scott said it was too early to tell if Selwood would be available for next week's game with Sydney at GMHBA Stadium.
"(Selwood) was a sick boy, it was a serious incident, so it was pretty clear right away that he wouldn't be able to come back," Scott said.
"I've said this a number of times, with issues like this, they can seem really innocuous and players miss weeks, and the ones that look really serious, they're right in a few days.
"I always try to make it a policy to try and reserve my judgement.
"The game's done a pretty good job at stamping that stuff out.
"You don't see it too often."
Thomas was a late inclusion after forward Todd Marshall was ruled out after being concussed in last Sunday's game with Essendon.
The incident with Selwood came just a couple minutes after Thomas kicked a brilliant goal from close to the boundary to endear himself to the Power faithful.
