GOLD Coast has appointed David Swallow and Jarrod Witts as co-captains for the 2019 season.
Witts and Swallow will form a new look eight-man leadership group that includes Touk Miller and Pearce Hanley as vice-captains and Alex Sexton, Jarrod Harbrow, Brayden Fiorini and George Horlin-Smith.
Swallow is an inaugural Sun after being the No.1 pick in the 2010 draft, while Witts has been with the Suns for the past two seasons after joining from Collingwood.
The duo, both 26, replace Tom Lynch and Steven May, who departed the club last year for Richmond and Melbourne respectively.
"It's very humbling," Swallow said at a press conference on Monday morning.

"It's quite a proud moment for myself.
"I'm really confident with the program and the leaders underneath that we'll see success in the near future."
The members of the eight-man leadership group were informed of their appointment on Sunday night after being invited to dinner at Dew's house.
The rest of the playing group was informed immediately prior to the official release on Monday morning.
After last season was dogged by speculation about Lynch's free agency and May's future, Gold Coast made no secret their next captains would need to be committed long-term.
Witts and Swallow both added five years to their existing contracts during the off-season, while Miller added another three to his deal.
"Dave's been here the whole time, and when he committed long term for the rest of his career, I think that shows what type of person he is," Dew said.
"He's up for the challenge and looking to lead this whole football club.
"Jarrod's been here three years and is the same.

"Through the tough times towards the end of last year, Wittsy knocked on the door and walked in and said, 'I'm in, and how do we get it better, and who do we need to sign on and commit?'
"From that moment I knew Jarrod had the club at heart and was committed to start our climb."
Dew was always leaning towards joint captaincy but said he hadn't ruled out selecting a sole skipper in future years.

"The way we're going, I think we're after that shared responsibility," he said.
"To have dual captains you do have to have a really good mix and they have to jell really well.
"I think it's a great fit for us right now.
"I think they lead by example and in different ways.
"Dave puts his body on the line and will give everything to the end. Wittsy exactly the same."
