JUST DAYS after farewelling coach Alan Richardson, St Kilda fans will have something to cheer about when midfield star Jack Steven makes his return in the VFL.
Steven, 29, has played just four games this season, the most recent being back in round six, after taking an extended break to deal with mental health issues.
The four-time club champion will play his first game in almost three months when he takes the field for the Saints' VFL affiliate Sandringham against Footscray at Trevor Barker Beach Oval from 3.10pm on Sunday.

St Kilda football boss Simon Lethlean said the club hadn't placed any expectations on Steven.
"It's really pleasing to have Jack back playing after a number of weeks of training with the group," Lethlean said.
"He's a much-loved player at our club, and it's an important step in the right direction."
The 6-10 Saints have missed Steven's ball-getting and experience, and have also struggled for long periods without fellow stars Jake Carlisle (back), Dan Hannebery (hamstrings/calves), Dylan Roberton (heart) and skipper Jarryn Geary (leg).
