Retired defender Alex Rance is the only player from the 2019 leadership group that will not continue his role.
Richmond's general manager of football performance Tim Livingstone said the club is ecstatic to have the duo lead the team in 2020.
"Trent is an incredible person, player and leader, and we’re thrilled that he will again lead our AFL playing group in 2020," Livingstone said.
