GREATER Western Sydney has officially locked in coach Leon Cameron with a two-year contract extension.
As forecast by CEO Dave Matthews in July, the Giants announced the new deal on Cameron's 48th birthday.
Cameron took the Giants to their maiden Grand Final last year, but have struggled for consistency in 2021 and still have a bit of work to do to feature in the finals this year.

"We committed to extending Leon at the start of this year and having worked through changing industry dynamics, we are pleased to have completed an agreement," Matthews said.
Giants general manager of football, Jason McCartney added: "Leon is an outstanding coach who has led this Club to victories in the last four finals series as well as our maiden Grand Final appearance.
"Leon has been central to building the strong culture of the GIANTS which has grown rapidly both on and off-field under his guidance.
"Given his success and the relationships he’s formed since arriving at the club at the end of 2012, we are delighted to extend his contract for a further two seasons."
Cameron joined the club as a senior assistant to inaugural coach Kevin Sheedy ahead of the 2013 season.
Since taking over in the 2014 season, Cameron has coached 156 games for 86 wins, 67 losses and three draws.
