A FIVE-GOAL third term from the Allies has led to a comfortable 40-point win over NSW/ACT in the NAB AFLW Under-18 Championships.
The Allies (a combined Northern Territory-Tasmania team, coached by former Tiger Jeromey Webberley) was just one point ahead at half-time before putting its foot down to coast to victory at Blacktown.
Glenorchy's Brooke Barwick (2023 draft eligible) was one of the Allies' best with a team-high 17 disposals, six tackles, three clearances and a goal.
J'Noemi Anderson – younger sister of North Melbourne's Jed – featured for the Allies as a bottom-ager last year, and was at her best against NSW/ACT with 13 disposals, 12 tackles, five clearances and a goal.
Cynthia Hamilton was named All-Australian and took out the Eastern Allies' MVP last season, and has picked up where she left off in her draft year.
The younger sister of North Melbourne's Lexi, Hamilton recorded a game-high 25 disposals, six clearances, four inside-50s and four marks for NSW/ACT.
Murray Bushrangers' Zarlie Goldsworthy also found plenty of the footy with 17 touches, five clearances and a goal, while over-ager April Devine dominated the ruck with 25 hitouts.
A new Allies team will now be formed from the best NSW/ACT and Allies players for the remainder of the Championships.
