FREMANTLE has made three changes to its playing list, with Tiah Toth and Ann McMahon not offered contracts for the seventh season of AFLW, while Jasmin Stewart has decided to step away from footy.
After being delisted in 2018, Toth worked hard to get her body right and was redrafted by the Dockers ahead of the 2021 season. Toth played eight of a possible 12 games this season, taking her career tally to 24 games.
McMahon was another player whom Fremantle supported through injury. A significant workplace injury saw McMahon spend her first two years on the club's list on the sidelined rehabbing significant injuries, with the midfielder finally making her AFLW debut in round one this year.
McMahon played six games this season, averaging 6.2 disposals and kicked an impressive, team-lifting goal in round two.
Stewart, a proud Jaru woman, helped design Fremantle's first-ever AFLW Indigenous guernsey, and has been important to the club's culture since being drafted with pick four in 2018. The hybrid midfielder/forward kicked six goals across her 22 games, averaging 8.7 disposals in the process.
"It's always a difficult time of the season when we say goodbye to some people who have put in a lot of hard work for the season and for the football club," head coach Trent Cooper told the club website.
Off-season player movement dates will be communicated to clubs in the coming weeks.
